New York State Career & Technical Education (CTE) Program in New Media
CTE New Media Program Focus - Competency in: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Web 3.0 tools and digital literacy to prepare students with the skills commonly used in the workplace and marketing.
CTE New Media Program Requirements:
Student will complete the following sequence of courses:
10th Grade - Computer Applications 1 & 2 which includes Career & Financial Management
11th Grade - E-Commerce
12th Grade - Exploring Computer Science which includes an introduction to programming and web design
Additional Student Goals:
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification in:
Word
Excel
PowerPoint
College Now class for advance college credit in your junior year
Work Experience (COOP) for pay OR WorkInternships without pay
Completion of all of the above = CTE Diploma at graduation
